The premium variant of the 2020 Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L range features a larger fuel tank, taller (adjustable) windscreen and a wider sump guard than the standard model. The feature list also comprises of a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display that is compatible with Apple CarPlay, full-LED lighting, cornering lights and heated grips. Electronic rider aids, which work with a six-axis inertial measurement unit, include cornering ABS, rear-lift control, Honda Selectable Torque Control, cruise control, wheelie control and DCT cornering detection.

Mechanical specifications have undergone a major upgrade, and the 2020 Africa Twin CRF1100L features a higher displacement than its predecessor. The 2020 model features a 1,084cc, parallel-twin cylinder motor that churns out 102bhp at 7,500rpm
